Selling on behalf of a customer this very good looking Ford Mustang 289 Convertible. Its a 1965 Model which was imported from Florida in 2014. The current owner has had it since 2016. Its registered as a Historic Vehicle now but up until 2017 it was MOTD. We have the V5 here, a couple of old MOTs and a copy of the American title.
Body - Mustang Convertible. Solid Car underneath. Very good structurally throughout as it came from a hot dry state in the USA. Panel gaps are good. Paintwork is perfectly presentable but is showing signs of its age here and there with a few age related marks. Looks pretty original though. Its perfectly useable as it sits but if you wanted it mint youd need to paint it. Roof is in good condition with no rips or tears. toneau cover included and full car cover as well.
Mechanics - 289 V8 and Auto box. Car starts no problem and runs well. It pulls right through the rev range with no flat spots or missing. Brakes are good. Slight bit of play in steering but that can be sorted for the new owner. Roof folds down ok but is a bit stiff due to lack of use but again we can have a look at that.
Interior - Im told the Interior is all original and is in very good order. Seats look really good as are the door cards. Wee bit wear on drivers carpet but overall cracking inside.
Wheels - Standard steels with wire look hiubcaps / trims.
