I'd like to introduce you to "Lettuce"... a lovely 1971 Early Bay.
Originally produced as a LHD Westfalia Campmobile, but was professionally converted in RHD, many years ago.
We have a massive history file, including service receipts from the early '70's, through the '80's, '90's and beyond.
She's been owned by her current owners for 24 years years. So well looked after and cared for.
She's finished in Pastel White over Cornflower Blue and presents really well.
She has been lowered to a nice level and benefits from a "Red 9" front steering and suspension package. Which is considered one of the best. Together with disc brakes. Then finished off with gunmetal Porsche Gas Burner replica alloy wheels and lower profile tyres.
She rides and drives really well and is very comfortable. Talking of comfort, check out the genuine Porsche seats in the cab, which also has an Empi quick shift gear stick, for an easier gear change. It also has a bamboo parcel shelf and a modern stereo, in a retro design.
The door cards are finished in 2-tone cream, which then carry on through into the back.
Slide the side door to reveal a gorgeous oak interior, bespoke built by SJH Joinery. com. It offers plenty of storage and houses a glass-topped twin burner hob and sink.
You'll notice the rear-facing buddy seat opposite the 3/ 4 width rock'n'roll bed. This has 2 safety belts and again all the upholstery has been carried out by "Spirit of the 50's" and finished with the tiled floor.
If you have a look above your head you'll see the ceiling is lined with maps, where the owners have plotted there holiday destinations... a really lovely idea. Of which the new owner could continue, or of course remove if preferred.
Up in the elevating roof, a solid double bunk has been added, rather than hammocks.
The bus is propelled by a 1776cc twin carb engine. Built by "Alfonso Motors" and has an external oil cooler.
