Land Rover series 1 20l Petrol - 1956.
The series 1 was manufactured in 1956 and spent its life in Australia until 2016 When the LR Was imported back into the UK, By a Land rover specialist. Who set about fully restoring this superb Land rover back to its original condition.
The Land rover had a full strip down and rebuild. Replacing many parts with new and refurbishing all parts that could be re used. The engine had a partial rebuild as did the gearbox and the rear axle. All brakes suspension and many components have also been renewed. Along with this the body had many replacements panels and a bare metal respray. This was carried out by a Land Rover specialist so we are limited on paperwork, that said we have the details of the specialist who carried out the restoration to this very high standard.
A little more info of the Series 1 - It is 88 inch wheel base. 2ltr petrol engine.
re-bushed the pedal shaft. - The engine and gearbox and axles are original with original numbers, It has a new Autosparks wiring loom, CharlesWorth re furbished the steering wheel and supplied new gear knobs. Rear wheel bearings and brakes, Front axle had new swivel pin kits and brakes etc, Wheels and tyres are new, Glass is all new, Seats are new Propshafts -Radiator re-cored - Carburettor - Electric fuel pump all new.
Certainly worth viewing if you are in the market for a very good example of the LR Series 1..
