Here is an absolutely gorgeous and beautifully restored from the bare chassis up 1936 Riley Merlin. These were very sporty cars of the day and with that little twin cam engine guess you could say the equivalent of today’s hot hatch. Pre- select gearbox was an option in 1936 so easy to use and no more crunching gears. Complete instrumentation all displayed in a lovely walnut dashboard along with the novel winding opening front windscreen.
Full engine re-build with Phoenix Crankshaft and Carrillo con-rods, overhauling the drive train, full body and chassis restoration, all new leather upholstery to include tailor made carpets and grey cloth headlining, sliding sun roof, engine upgraded with four branch exhaust manifold , twin su carburettors, (very lively) fully rewired and converted to alternator generation electrics, new fuel tank constructed in aluminium the list just goes on.
One of the most desirable and stylish cars of the 30s with its Aero styled coachwork. Finished in high gloss black over burgundy, wire wheels, and sitting on the expensive as new Blockley tyres. Current V5c registration and old style buff logbook. Showing four pervious owners, restoration invoices and large photo album all included.
