Description
Auto Storica is pleased to announce this Ford Mustang Eleanor.
The new century brought us, among other things, a new action car film for the enjoyment of the viewer. But this time it was not just any movie. Nicholas Cage and Angeline Jolie were the protagonists of 60 Seconds, a title that paid homage to the 1974 film of the same name.
In the original work there was a third protagonist, who despite having a woman's name was not made of flesh and blood. Eleanor was, for the occasion, a beautiful yellow Ford Mustang Mach 1. Dominic Sena, the director of the sequel of the new century, decided that the new Eleanor had to be a unique and special model. Based on the 1967 Ford Mustang, Steve Stanford and Chip Foose designed a unique body kit for the occasion.
A long and bulging hood, which ended in a huge grille, dominated the front. On both sides, the main headlights together with two new smaller auxiliary lights gave it a more aggressive look, which was accentuated by the two additional long-range headlights located in the new, slimmer and lower front bumper.
A huge non-functional air intake, which emerged from the front, dominated the more muscular side line. And the rear windows became two air intakes. The exhaust outlets ended at the end of the side sills, taking up much of the limelight with the gurgling sound they emit. At the rear, the horizontal lights of the Shelby GT500 stand out, just below the huge integrated spoiler
The colour of the body, a beautiful dark grey -Gun Metal-, with two huge black stripes that run all the way across it, together with the five-spoke double-chrome rims, put the finishing touch to a car that has become a cult object for lovers of the seventh art and motor racing.
Under the hood, the mechanics are on par with the appearance, and we find a Ford Boss V8 engine, 302 cubic inches, which, modified with top-level components (Holly carburetor, Moroso heads, MSD ignition), delivers more than 300 hp, sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic transmission.
Nicolas Cage suffered in the film to reach his unicorn, his dream, Eleanor. You, on the other hand, just have to come to our facilities to buy it. It will take you less than 60 seconds to fall in love.
