We are very pleased to offer for sale this absolutely outstanding example of this highly desirable, high performance MG, resplendent in British Racing Green. In fact, we would go on to say that this is probably one of the very best on the market, but at a very sensible price. This is a UK registered car from new, not a Japanese import, and there is an extremely well-documented and interesting history with the car, showing only six owners from new (including the current owner) and only 31, 000 miles on the clock, with plenty of paperwork to support this. The original owner, as you can see from the paperwork photograph, was the well-known actor Robert Lindsay, who owned the car from new in 1993, for 11 years. The next owner spent a fortune on the vehicle, detailing and improving the already fine condition. The entire car was gone over, including any paint finish issues, any mechanical faults and the interior was replaced with a much higher quality leather (Stone Beige), which is still exceptionally good today. The car is currently in fabulous condition throughout, including its black double duck hood. The underside is just as you would like it to be, as is the engine bay. The boot is properly carpeted. The original wheels are, of course, good and fitted with matching Michelin tyres on all four corners. These are very powerful cars which offer terrific performance from the 3. 9 V8 engine - which produces approximately 190 bhp, 0-60 mph in around 6 seconds, and a top speed of 135 mph. This car drives superbly with good handling, nice smooth gearbox, excellent brakes with ventilated front discs and nice big fat tyres! There is a mountain of paperwork including a comprehensive file of servicing from new, MOT certificates, current MOT to 13th June 2025, original factory RV8 brochure, and ‘Manufacturing Story’ which includes the ‘written celebrity customer endorsement’ from Robert Lindsay, handbook and other RV8 literature.
