1968 VW westfalia camper .
Here at Johnson Autoworks ltd we’ve been looking after this camper for well
over 15 years so we know it well .
We’re selling it on behalf of the current owners as they just aren’t using it
enough anymore.
Absolutely rock solid van , with only a few minor blemishes.
Built in 1968 and originally delivered out to California, it was imported to the uk
in the early 2000’s and was repainted by us not long after .
We also replaced the engine a few years ago and it’s had very little use since .
The engine was upgraded to a strongly built 1641 cc with twin dellorto’s and
stainless exhaust system.
We also carried out a disc brake conversion making it a very usable and reliable
camper .
The interior is the original westfalia one but has has been fully reupholstered by
Vaughan at custom classic and retro to a very high standard.
We have just put it through it’s mot where it passed without any advisories
( even though it’s tax and mot exempt) .
The rear seat features 2 lap seat belts and there is a a bunk in the pop top which
has a great canvass still in excellent condition.
The van presents itself very well with only a few cosmetic blemishes.
In summary an excellent condition early camper ready to use this summer .
