This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2024 - Motorcycles on Sunday the 10th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT.
Introduced for 1959, the D7 Super was powered by a 173cc two-stroke single similar to the D5, but with the addition of an alloy outer cover on the left side of the crankcase, concealing the Wipac 'geni-mag'
Fitted with a swing-arm frame and new hydraulically damped front forks - a shortened version of those fitted to Triumph's Tiger Cub
Dating from around 1960, this bike has been rebuilt to compete in Motor Cycle Trials
It's been fitted with a lightweight, tubular steel sidecar and finished to comply with trials regulations, possibly Pre-1965
Not used recently so some recommissioning is required
