Description

1928 - Rolls-Royce Phantom I Sedanca de Ville Châssis n° 100 RF Véhicule vendue sans titre de circulation Sold without registration title Véhicule vendée sans Contrôle Technique Sold without Contrôle Technique " Sedanca Cabriolet bodywork originally! " " Sedanca Cabriolet bodywork originally!" - According to the copy of its build sheet, our car left the factory at the beginning of 1928, heading for the Hooper bodywork workshops to become a Sedanca Cabriolet, a very rare and highly sought-after bodywork!
- Our car's file includes the original 1942 log book, showing that the car was then resident in Bristol, and always wore an open body, painted black. The current owner bought the car in 2001 in Leicester, and stored it with a view to one day restoring it.
- Work began in 2015: the bodywork was no longer on the car, and the decision was made to create a racing-style body. Prior to that, our collector's mechanics tackled the chassis and engine, but given the large number of projects underway, the latter was sidelined.
- Today, the car is presented to us as a rolling chassis, accompanied by its engine block.
- This is the ideal project for an enthusiast looking to buy a Phantom I that suits his or her tastes: a return to the original bodywork, or a continuation of the original and the creation of a racing car? The choice is yours... - According to the copy of its build sheet, our car left the factory in early 1928, bound for the workshops of Hooper coachbuilders to become a Sedanca Cabriolet, a very rare and sought-after body! - Our car's file includes the original 1942 log book, showing that the car was then resident in Bristol, and always had an open body, painted black.
