Description

1928 Rolls-Royce Phantom I 40/ 50 HP Chassis n° 67 EF Titre de circulation luxembourgeois Luxembourg registration title Véhicule vendu sans Contrôle Technique Sold without Contrôle Technique 'A truly sporty, innovative and wonderfully detailed Phantom, restored to perfection.
'A truly sporty, innovative and wonderfully detailed Phantom, restored to perfection' - The Rolls Royce Phantom 1 was the flagship of one of the world's most prestigious car brands, just as its creator, Sir Henry Royce, intended. The new Phantom 40/ 50 HP, later named Phantom I, replaced the Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost in 1925 in the UK and in 1926 in the USA, where it was built in Springfield, Massachusetts.
- It is remarkable for its incredible mechanical silence due to its six-cylinder overhead-valve engine with valve lifters, and the total absence of vibrations. Its new engine delivers 95 bhp (70 kW), giving it a top speed of 145 km/ h. It will be the biggest in-line six ever produced by the brand.
- The car we are presenting, chassis 67 EF, was restored in the early 2000s. The quality of the work carried out is exemplary, as are all the restorations undertaken by the owner's own workshop. The photos of the restoration show that the car was completely dismantled from the chassis. The engine (HS 55) and gearbox were completely reconditioned.
- Aesthetically, a new wooden frame was fitted and all the aluminium body panels were reformed. The lines of this Tourer in the spirit of Barker are extremely elegant, offering 4 real seats and enhanced by a soft-top cover that does nothing to detract from its extremely pure lines.
- Exceptional in every detail, the dashboard instrumentation, the steering wheel and the quality of the chrome, upholstery and woodwork will enchant its occupants from their very first trip aboard this flagship.
