WELL, well. Look at this old bird for rarity. Yes, this old Hawk. A 62-year-old Hawk. But not just any Hawk. This is the ultra-rare Humber Hawk estate. Rare enough in its day, never mind in the here and now. Maybe some of you have never even seen one. But it is a beautiful beast and ready to swoop onto today's roads after a lengthy spell of hibernation. Just look at those superb body lines. This is not of those 60s or 50s saloons that looks like an extra bit has been tagged onto the rear where the boot used to be. This is a proper factory built, straight off the drawing board estate car or shooting brake as used to call them. A solid old girl, painted just this year after being totally stripped back. I believe the colour is Rootes Group Lake Blue. She has a charming contrasting red interior which is in equally great condition, as is the wooden dash and headlining.
She is on the key and drives and stops, going through the gears well. She is a four speed manual, column change. This rare estate is so rare that she would stand out from the crowd at most classic car shows. When did you last see one? Have you ever seen one?
