Correctly registered as a Cobra Replica on an age related No plate ( V )
The manufacturer of the Cobra Kit is unknown, but it based on a steel ladder chassis with Jaguar Front Suspension and Jaguar Independent Rear Suspension – Mated to a Rover SDI 3500cc V8 running a Kent High Lift Cam with a 4 Barrel Holley Carburettor and an LT95 5 Speed Manual Gearbox
Some of the original build including the SVA registration was undertaken by Mike Broad at Magnum Engineering and some invoicing refers to it as a DAX. Unfortunately the original constructor has passed away so we have been unable to verify.
As part of our pre-sale preparation we have undertaken a comprehensive program of recommissioning which has taken many hours and has included an Engine Rebuild including a full Cylinder Head overhaul. In keeping with best practice the oil pump, timing gear and water pump have also been replaced along with the flywheel being lightened and balanced and ignition system replaced with a H&H electronic distributor. All work has been done by reputable companies to the highest standards with receipts are on file. The Engine and has been set up on a Rolling Road and albeit revs were limited as not fully run-in, a single power run to 5, 000 rpm resulted in 153 bhp being recorded which hints on 170 bhp being potentially on tap.
The front suspension has been re-bushed and new spax adjustable shocks fitted with new springs, rear shocks replaced, exhaust silencers have been replaced and custom tail pipes manufactured, new Cooper Cobra tyres fitted on chrome wires, new period P700 Tri-pod headlights, glass side wind deflectors & tinted perspex visors..
On the road the Cobra drives really well and sounds super impressive drawing much attention - whilst it is an entry level price Cobra it benefits from a fresh Engine build and with many major components replaced it absolutely punches above its weight - I have no doubt it will give the next owner a lot of pleasure - please call for more details.
Supplied with 2 sets of Keys along with a History File Containing build photographs and many invoices along with old MOT certificates and an Experian Autodata Report to confirm no adverse information recorded against the following registers: Stolen, High Risk, Finance, ABI Condition Alert, Scrapped, Plate Change, Export Data, Import Data, Extra Data.
