1986 Mercedes SL 420, 108, 148 Miles, finished in Smoke Silver Metallic (702) with a Medium Red leather interior (277) – No MOT
Having been owned and enjoyed by a storage client for several years we are now selling on his behalf due to a lack of time to upkeep and enjoy the car. Under his ownership the car had undergone extensive maintenance in terms of servicing and general upkeep totalling thousands of pounds. Unfortunately, over the last few years the usual R107 rust issues have rearisen round the car leading to it not going through an MOT. Mainly front inner arches needing welding and a lower front wishbone needing replacement.
The car runs and drives beautifully and realistically only requires a small amount of work and a good service to be back on the road and a lovely usable classic!
Externally the car is presentable however rust bubbling is present round the usual places on one of these. The interior is tidy with only the side bolsters showing wear and the dash top being slightly cracked. This particular R107 features the following options, 440-Cruise Control, 507-Electric L/ H Mirror, 532-Automatic Antenna and 583-Electric Windows.
This would make a great winter project!
