Of all the Scimitars made by Reliant, the SE4 is probably the rarest with a production run of just 300 and only a handful of known survivors
GRN 506D is number 109 of the 297 built and is documented on the Coupé Register of the RSSOC
Supplied by Roger Clark Cars of Leicester it is believed to have been owned by a VSCC circuit racer, also featuring in the club magazine where its competition history is also alluded to as an ex-hillclimb car
In essence, the SE4 was rebodied Sabre Six, with a striking GT body styled by Ogle Design
Powered by the 2553cc, straight-six engine from the Zodiac Mk3 with triple SU carburettors. At the rear, the Salisbury axle was located by both Watts linkage and a Panhard rod, resulting in excellent traction off the line and out of corners
Finished in recently refreshed Ermine White, it sits on red painted 'competition' wire wheels, also rebuilt
Recent expenditure includes new overdrive unit, work to the engine, exhaust, and wiring plus much more totalling over £8, 000
