Description
An absolute unicorn on the UK roads. Possibly the only RHD Sportwagon in Europe!
For this new model, GM not only decided to compete against it's Europen rivals, but also wanted to tackle the European market. Although the product was both strong and competitively priced, unfortunately the Cadillac brand failed to gain traction in these markets, resulting in another failed attempt at globalisation.
Despite being a sales failure in Europe, the CTS II remained popular in the US and surprisingly remained afloat in Japan. As Cadillac were still in these markets 2 years after the launch of the CTS II saloon, Japan did see the introduction of both wagon and coupe variants in 2010, in right hand drive. It is thought that less than 50 right hand drive wagons made it to Japan and New Zealand during this production run, although this figure cannot be verified.
Being a JDM example, the condition is absolutely fantastic both in and out. The underside is impeccable, due to the car not seeing salt.
Not just a rare show car, but a practical and reliable daily. Ultra smooth with all the toys. Plenty of power and easy to maintain - parts are affordable and easily accessible via RockAuto.
There are many benefits to this car over a UK supplied example. Aside from being rust free and a wagon, Japan also received the later, more reliable 3. 0 V6. As opposed to the earlier UK cars' 2. 8 and 3. 6 variants which suffered from both timing chain and cooling issues. The road tax is also half, which is a bonus.
Heated and ventilated front seats, cruise control, adaptive bending xenon headlights, remote tailgate, privacy glass, keyless entry and go, ambient lighting, HDD media drive.
Lightly modified with a V front bumper and brand new 19" Aluwerks alloy wheels on brand new tyres.
Clear UK and Japanese history.
