History:
In 1953, racing driver Donald Healey started production of his own sports roadster with car manufacturer Austin. Intended for the racetrack but also suitable for the road, the result was a fantastically uncompromising sports car that cost just over half the price of a Jaguar XK120 at the time.
A total of 72, 000 Austin Healeys were built between 1953 and 1968, becoming increasingly comfortable over the years. Today, the Austin Healey is one of the most popular classic sports cars with British charm. A Healey is welcome everywhere, can also be used well on long journeys and has an excellent spare parts supply. This early, genuine Austin Healey 100 is not only one of these sought-after purist BN1s from the first series, it is also a matching numbers vehicle with left-hand drive and km/ h speedometer for the Central European market. The Heritage Certificate and the Goodtimer Expertise are in progress for this rare collector's example, which further enhances its collector status. The Healey 100 has been lovingly cared for and successively restored by its previous owner over the past 13 years. The nut and bolt restoration was carried out from the ground up in a completely dismantled state. The work is documented accordingly. Bodywork and paintwork:
10 years after a full restoration, the quality is evident. The paintwork substance and the overall structure and lustre are still outstanding today. No dents, no scratches, an almost flawless example with very little patina in the area of the aluminium applications. The bodywork and the gaps have been significantly improved and require no corrections. The red soft top as well as the windscreens are new.
Interior:
The elegant and matching leather interior has also been renewed, as has the carpet landscape. The same applies to the dashboard, which has been rebuilt and repainted.
Engine and mechanics:
The engine has been regularly serviced and any necessary repairs carried out immediately. Very good exhaust emission values, tested compression values of the engine and a revised 3-speed gearbox with overdrive in stages 2 and 3 show neither wear nor need for maintenance. A comprehensive inspection and a new veteran's inspection are carried out at the time of purchase.
Chassis:
The chassis and brakes are also checked and revised for the fresh veteran's inspection (MOT/ TüV). The tyres were renewed in 2021 and have been driven less than 500 km since then.
Driving:
The Healey driving experience is a myth - when 2. 7 litres of displacement are distributed across four cylinders, there is torque in abundance. The Healey is powerful and drives just as sportily as it does comfortably. The sound and the feeling of fresh air in a Healey have a unique character, especially when the windscreen is in the Le Mans position.

An Austin Healey is first and foremost a vehicle that is convincing as a driving machine and gives a great deal of pleasure. Its unmistakable lines, robustness and good-natured engineering make every Healey a reliable friend on the road. Rare examples such as this Healey 100 are also popular among collectors and have proven their high value stability over the years.
