Here we have the unique opportunity to own this truly bespoke custom built Honda CBX Cafe Racer. This custom special started its life as a January 1982 US bike before being UK registered in September 2019. This CBX-B was brought to the UK in its standard form before its owner, based at Cornwall Custom Motorcycle in collaboration with Woodgates Custom Motorcycles, designed and transformed it into its current reincarnation. The bike was displayed at the Bike Sheds London Custom Bike Show in 2019 and caused quite a stir.
The bike was stripped and totally rebuilt with no stone left unturned. The frame and engine were left original with the suspension grafted on from a 2014 Kawasaki Z1000 with modern upside down forks and fully adjustable rear monoshock suspension. The engine was reworked from the ground up, stripped, cleaned, new gaskets ans seals. Upgraded Keihin FCR flat sided carbs were fitted and mated to polished alloy stacks and stainless steel mesh screens. Other upgrades included, racing oil cooler, polished six into one manifold with race spec rear silencer, Lithium battery, Renthal bars, levers, Domino quick action throttle, Acewell multi function speedo, and Mo-switch keyless ignition/ security.
The wheels have been powder coated with new chain and sprockets fitted geared for acceleration rather than top speed. All the bikes wiring has been replaced, stainless steel braided lines fitted, with hi spec Tokico brakes front and rear. Cosmetically the tank was flushed and sealed and painted in matt black paint with with Woodgates livery applied. The bike has a matching black leather seat to top of the designers brief.
