Description

Spitfire Mk3 2. 5 Litre: Unique & Simply the Best!

The Triumph Spitfire was introduced at the London Motor Show of 1962. The stylish bodywork was designed by Giovanni Michelotti with the running gear based on the Herald. Although more expensive than the Midget/ Sprite the design, linked to good performance, proved extraordinarily successful.

The Mk III introduced in March 1967 was the first major facelift. The car retained the flowing lines of the preceding models with a larger engine, improved performance and fully folding hood that was much easier to use.

Milestone Classics are delighted to offer this unique and very special one-off-build Mk3 Spitfire. A comprehensive, no expenses spared restoration over a nine period by Roy, a retired engineer, the objective was to build an as-new Mk3 Spitfire that gave GT6 performance with upgrades. The final result is stunning.....

On the road the Triumph drives as good as she looks – the engine torque, power steering. 5-speed gearbox and uprated brakes provides an utterly engaging drive

The standard of Roy's work is outstanding and a real testament to his skill, knowledge & commitment to the project. The car is being sold at a fraction of the build cost.

Jamie and I have been blown away..... without question this is the Spitfire that Triumph should have put into production
