Make no mistake - this is not just a Spectre lookalike, but a carbon copy to the exact specification of the Land Rover Defenders commissioned for the 2015 James Bond film, Spectre, featuring genuine Bowler parts, ordered with guidance from Bowler, to ensure that the finished item was as accurate as possible. Under the bonnet lies a 2. 2-litre inline-four turbodiesel engine, now producing around 200bhp, driving all four wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. It is believed to be the only recreation to have been re-tuned by Peter Bell of Bell Auto Services, who was responsible for fettling the 'Spectre' Defenders used on screen. Prior to this, the engine was replaced at the 30, 000 mile mark by staff at Guy Salmon Land Rover, and the new unit has only covered around 38, 000 miles.
Built around a 2012 Land Rover Defender 2. 2L, this exceptional automobile features all-new genuine Bowler parts, including the exact engine map and engine upgrades required to power the car properly - on its 37" wheels. The map and engine work was done by Bell Auto Services, the company providing the engine maps for the original movie cars. As well as being a highly-specced Defender with air conditioning, satellite navigation, traction control, ABS, electric windows, central locking and reversing camera, a full list of the Spectre upgrade parts is as follows:
