Description
Biarritz Sports and Classic Cars (BSCC) is pleased to present this LM1 Buggy by Sovra
At the end of the 60s, the Meyers Manxs Buggy was super trendy in California.
Sovra, French company, managed by Michel Landon, had previously been a subcontractor to small-scale buggy manufacturers, but LM Sovra came up with the idea of having its own buggies approved by the DRIRE.
This boosted sales, and more than 1, 000 buggies have been sold to date.
The vehicle's appealing look, combined with the mechanical simplicity of Beetles, was a major factor in its success.
This LM1 has a ‘long’ chassis, giving it two rear seats.
Based on a Beetle 1200 chassis and engine, this buggy is great fun to drive.
This LM1 is very faithful to the original, with a few traces of the patina of time.
It looks great and is fitted with a double roll bar, the front of which can be removed to suit your tastes.
Two biminis are available, one in black vinyl and the other in light cotton.
Recent service invoices are available including all four shocks, front tyres, starter, brakes and exhaust.
It will be serviced for sale and two new tyres will be fitted at the rear.
It's easy to imagine Steve McQueen cruising through the dunes in a buggy with Faye Dunaway as a passenger (Thomas Crown Affair).
