Description
1964 - Leyland Leopard - Plaxton Panarama - Race Car Transporter and registered as a Camper.
I've been asked if I can find a home for this simply gorgeous 1964 Transporter/ Camper. (…and maybe the Formula Ford as well).
This is a rare beast, it’s had many well known owners starting with David & Tim Llewellyn in 1977 who converted it to carry their two racing Bentleys, and over the years it’s carried many other interesting and valuable cars to race circuits all over Europe.
It’s a 1964 Leyland Leopard with a Plaxton Panarama body. Fitted with a Leyland 680 11. 1 litre, straight six, direct injection diesel.
Restored over a 10yr period by the current owner, who stripped it back to a shell and converted it in part to a registered camper.
This beautiful bus (or buz as the owner calls it) now needs a new owner who can use it and display it at historic racing events, with their own racer in the back.
.... What an opportunity - £44, 999.
The Formula Ford is a little later than the Leyland, being a 1971 Merlin Mk20/ 25 - 1600 crossflow with Hewland gearbox. It’s a complete running, car dry stored and in very good condition. Comes with a small spares package. Bought from Paul Matty in 2019, mainly for display purposes in the Leyland Leopard, but has been ran at various events in the last 5yrs. - £16, 999.
Please feel free to share this post far and wide as I’m sure this will garner interest from an international audience.
Export enquiries welcomed.
