1975 Mercedes Benz 280 CE Coupe Automatic. Astral Silver metallic with blue leather upholstery. This flagship model W114 280 Coupe is a great example of 70’s German engineering, it displays just 54, 000 miles which is believed to be correct but due to the age we are unable to guarantee this. Complete with a great specification which includes a fully working electric sunroof and period-look Retrosound Bluetooth/ Hands-Free audio system. It is equipped with the powerful 185hp electronically injected engine distinct from the carburettor 130hp 250C and the other junior models in the range. The car was imported from Australia in 2016. There is indeed a small Australian road service sticker on the window. In 2019 it was purchased by the most recent keeper who had it comprehensively recommissioned by a classic car restoration specialist firm who have since regularly maintained it with a large folder of invoices totalling over £10, 000, there is also a documented km to miles odometer conversion by the restoration specialist (with photographic evidence). The interior was re-upholstered in 2017 and this still looks great today. The car starts on demand and drives beautifully with a very strong engine and smooth auto gearbox.
