Offered here is a lovely 1993 Land Rover Discovery 200 TDi, presented in Green Metallic with contrasting fabric seats. This is a rare 200 TDi paired with a four-speed automatic that is in remarkable condition throughout.
In 1992, Land Rover sold three vehicles: The Defender, the Range Rover, and the Discovery. Tucked in-between it’s brothers, the Discovery I was, just like it’s stable mates, offered in different configurations around the globe.
In Europe the Discovery was sold in a two-door configuration, with the mighty 200 TDi turbo diesel for a heart, mated to a five-speed LT77 manual transmission or a four-speed automatic gearbox.
The 200 TDi in the Discovery has a nice little swelling of power as the truck gets up and goes. Pair that with the automatic gearbox and it is extremely easy to live with, and will cruise relatively quiet at motorway speeds.
This example was supplied on 29th November 1993 by Strugess Land Rover, Leicester. It was used in England for the next two years before being taken over to the Isle of Man in 1995. It has been kept there ever since, and also dry stored. It has covered a mere 68, 000 miles and used sparingly in the past 10 years.
It benefits from a cambelt change less than 4, 000 miles ago and the underneath of the vehicle degreased and cleaned, and 2 stage Dinitrol has been applied. Please come and view this exceptional Discovery that can only be truly appreciated when seen in the metal.
