Description
1979 Camaro Z28 in superb condition - the VIN correctly decodes for this matching numbers car, with the original Chevy 350 5. 7 litre V8 running & driving superbly; with well thought out upgrades, including:
* High rise aluminium inlet manifold topped off with an Edelbrock 4 barrel carburettor.
* Road/ race camshaft breathing through Hooker comp exhaust headers into a dual S/ S system.
* TH350 3-speed auto transmission, shifting positively & smoothly.
* The Posi traction rear axle has a 3. 42 ratio which provides both acceleration & ‘highway drivability’.
* New/ upgraded steering components include: centreline, track/ tie rods, idler arm & sway bar links giving positive and direct steering.
Built in the Norwood plant and supplied from new for export to Switzerland it arrived in the UK in 2003, with MOT’s in the file going back to then supporting the mileage, which we believe to be correct at 78, 000, the latest & current MOT runs to May 2025.
Finished in Carmine Red with Carmen cloth interior this car presents unbelievably well and we can honestly say it’s the best example we have seen & driven - an unusually good example of a very rare car.
It’s just had a carb and ignition tune... runs strong and dialled in.
To add to the rarity it has retained the original build sheet confirmed what a highly spec’d car this was from new.
