Initially released in 1961 in its sedan form, the 300 SE, internally given the W112 chassis code, was an exclusive model placed near the top of the model range. In comparison to the stylistically similar W111 and later W113, the W112 distinguished itself with a fuel-injected 3. 0L Inline-6, additional chrome trim, extensive wood trim, numerous luxury features as standard, and, perhaps most importantly, a self-levelling pneumatic (air) suspension. Sales of the model improved somewhat with the coupe/ cabriolet's introduction in 1962, though with only one sold for every five of the lower-priced W111, it remained an exclusive choice for only the most discerning, well-heeled buyers.

At first glance, the W112 can be easily mistaken for the similar models of the lineup, however those "in the know" recognize it for its spectacular driving experience and exceptional reliability. While collectors have classically focused more on the later W108/ W109 models, recognition for the W112's technological advancements, rarity, and unique feel have brought renewed interest. As such, it is our opinion the model's value will correspondingly increase over the next few years.

The incredible 1967 Mercedes-Benz 300 SE Cabriolet featured here is finished in gorgeous Anthracite Grey Metallic over a Cognac leather interior with a Brown folding convertible top. Subjected to a no-expense-spared, show-quality restoration that reportedly cost nearly $300, 000, this exquisite motorcar is, in our opinion, one of the finest examples offered anywhere in the world. With its sensational specification, remarkable condition, and extensive amenities, this 300 SE is the perfect choice for any premier collection. We are proud to offer this rare and sought-after Mercedes-Benz cabriolet to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires to own one of the very best at an investment price!
