Description
JUY 975T was supplied new on the 2nd September 1978 by Mann Egerton & Co Ltd in Glacier White with Black trim and has covered a remarkable 11, 000 miles from new. This must be one of the most original, well kept MG Midgets we have ever owned and it still retains its original hood in excellent condition. Windows are still clear and retain the original dealer sticker, raised digit period plates are on the vehicle and the MG comes with an incredible history file that still retains its original Super Cover Handbook Portfolio and original Passport to Service book.
Our MG has a fantastic bodyshell with factory gaps, a beautiful paint finish and outstanding, original interior. The body is unbelievably original, the car is a true time warp and is beautiful throughout. The car clearly led an incredibly sheltered life, its first owner kept the MG for over 22 years covering just 4900 miles in the cars early life and throughout the 2000's the car has been impeccably well maintained. Since 2015 several thousand pounds have been spent keeping this car in top class order, receipts are on file for a new clutch, brake booster kit, new water pump, thermostat, full coolant hose kit, new exhaust, new timing cover oil seal and gasket, rear spring shackle bushes and new tyres.
On the road JUY 975T performs as you'd expect when just six months old. Its recent high quality maintenance has ensured its in excellent mechanical order and of course with such low mileage the engine and gearbox are in first class condition. Our MG is great fun on the road, steering, brakes and handling all feel excellent, it drives like you'd expect an ultra-low mileage, properly maintained original car to drive and the underside is equally as impressive. This is an incredibly correct car and it will not disappoint.
