Description
ASM DBR1 Le Mans
This is the ASM DBR1 Le Mans. This is a beautiful recreation of the 1959 Le Mans winning Aston Martin DBR1. The standard is exceptional built by Andrew Soar of AS Motorsport.
They are registered on their own chassis therefore the V5 reads as such and is VOSA IVA compliant. This is not a car registered with an existing identity, an important issue. Please ask us for more information.
Each car is built to the first owners specification. ASM offer three different packages from road going to track spec. This car is in the middle of those I think it is fair to say. This example was created with Hill Climb and Sprints in mind although that didn’t transpire. When browsing the options list weight was a consideration and fast acceleration. The specification includes the following:
Exterior: Aluminium Boot, Bonnet and Doors, GRP Body Michelin Tyres, Tripple Eared Borrani Style Spinners, Drive Lights and Covers, Locking Filler Cap.
Engine and Running Gear: 3. 4 Straight Six Engine with VS02 upgrade, Weber Fuel Injection based on Tripple 45 DCOE, Ceramic Coated Exhaust Manifold, Lightweight Starter and Alternator, Borg Warner 5 Speed Box.
The engine ECU has a choice of three different maps. Valet Mode, Cruise and Power.
The suspension damping is adjustable. Unique Space Frame Chassis.
Interior: Chrome H Gate, Aluminium Transmission Tunnel and Lining Panels, Anti Slip Floor Panels, Distressed Green/ Black Dash, ASM Tacho and Clock, Tonneau Cover, Boot Internal Aluminium Panels, Cast Bonet and Boot Handles.
Please see - details above for more information.
These cars are very rare and sought after and needless to say there is a waiting list should you wish to build a new one. Prices are in the region of £140, 000 GBP depending on specification.
This example has a perfect well loved history with a well known family to McGurk. We have promised she will go to a good home.
