Description
One of Italy's most renowned coachbuilders, Carrozzeria Vignale of Turin, was founded in 1948 by Alfredo Vignale, who began his career in the pre-war years by creating a successful design based on a FIAT Topolino chassis. Enzo Ferrari's favourite coachbuilder during the early years of the Maranello factory, Carrozzeria Vignale also designed and built cars for Lancia and Maserati. In the 1960s, it developed, equipping itself for full car production. FIAT chassis were often used as the basis for many of Vignale's most popular models, including this 750 Spyder, based on the FIAT 600 D. Introduced in 1960 as an evolution of the 600, the 600 D uses a 767 cc engine, improved lubrication and cooling systems, side deflectors, key ignition, modified gear ratios and significantly improved performance, with the top speed increased to 110 km/ h. The car we offer here is in excellent overall condition, with conservative restoration and meticulous maintenance. Special combination with black interior and new black soft top on request. Original FIAT certificate of origin and original Vignale sales brochure of the time. Ready for viewing and testing. ------- One of the most renowned Italian coachbuilders, Carrozzeria Vignale of Turin, was founded in 1948 by Alfredo Vignale, who had begun his career in the years before the war, creating a successful design based on a FIAT Topolino chassis.
