Description
1939 Buick Century 4. 1L Straight Eight Sedan. Over £90, 000 spent on the restoration. Factory original RHD, manufactured in Canada 1939 and registered in UK 1940, (Canada was part of the Empire in 1939, Buicks manufactured in Canada were often shipped to the UK with no import duty to pay). This four door sedan has what are often referred to as "suicide doors", where the front two doors open as usual but the rear doors hinge at the back of the door. This has the benefit of when all doors are open the passengers are shielded from the elements when exiting the vehicle. This is a stunning, uncommon car that drives beautifully, starts with ease and a pleasure to drive lending itself well to being part of a collection or used for Wedding/ 6th form ball hire due to the way the doors open, fantastic styling, road presence and rarity. Both restored spare wheel spats/ covers are present.
