Description
The 250 S was equipped with a 2, 496 cc M108 engine with twin two-barrel downdraft carburetors producing 96 kW (131 PS; 129 hp) at 5, 400 rpm. It could accelerate to 100 km/ h (62 mph) in 13 seconds for the manual and 14 seconds for the automatic. Top speed was 182 km/ h (113 mph) for the manual and 177 km/ h (110 mph) for the automatic. The 250 SE had the same engine as the 250 S, except for the fuel injection system and a different engine designation (M129). With an increased engine power of 110 kW (150 PS; 148 hp) at 5, 500 rpm, the 250 SE was one second faster to 100 km/ h than the 250 S and had a higher top speed of 193 km/ h (120 mph) for both manual and automatic versions.
