Description
The fastest version of BMW's 02 series made its debut in September 1973 at the IAA in Frankfurt. The iconic 2002 turbo with its typical 1970s striping features a KKK turbo - the first in a European production car. The turbo technology makes the injection engine of the 2002 tii an additional 40 hp stronger. The BMW 2002 turbo has a top speed of more than 210 km/ h. But the model comes onto the market at exactly the wrong time. Due to the outbreak of the oil crisis, the petrol-guzzling model is condemned to a marginal role. Only 1672 units are built from the spring of 1974 to the summer of 1975. They are only available in the colours white (Chamonix) and silver grey (Polaris metallic).
This BMW Turbo is a perfectly restored example and has an Italian registration. The underside still looks perfect, as does the boot of the car. The body parts all fit together well. There is a beautiful black interior with bucket seats and under the hood everything looks like new. A beautiful BMW Turbo as you rarely see them anymore.
