An original UK car in right hand drive. We have a heritage certificate and the original sales slip at purchase in 1959.
Fresh from a 2 years restoration by a respected engineer.
Listed below is a summary of the works carried out during this process
The car was stripped to a bare shell with new floors, inner & outer sills fitted.
All steel car.
New R/ H front wheel arch assembly fitted.
New front chassis legs fitted.
Suspension all restored with Poly bushes fitted.
Fitted with disc brakes.
New brake/ clutch master cylinder fitted.
All wire wheels stripped refurbished and powder coated.
Radiator refurbished.
All new copper brake pipes fitted
All new flex brake/ clutch hoses fitted.
Uprated rear radius arms fitted.
New rear brake cylinders fitted.
New fuel tank sender fitted.
Completely new wiring loom fitted.
Side screens refurbished with new perspex windows and rubber seals.
New windscreen rubber surround fitted.
New bonnet safety catch fitted.
Bonnet lock mechanism and locking handle fitted (with key).
New bonnet stay assembly fitted.
New auxiliary Fuse panel fitted under n/ s dashboard.
For safety as the car has an electric fuel pump a fuel cut out switch fitted under n/ s dash (red button type)
All new interior fitted including new carpets
New static seat belts in matching red
All instruments refurbished.
Wiper motor refurbished.
Starter and dynamo stripped and refurbished.
Heater matrix and assembly refurbished.
Brand new soft top fitted.
Engine.
Engine bored to 0. 030″
New pistons fitted.
New crankshaft bearings and thrusts fitted.
New oil pump fitted.
New water pump fitted.
New camshaft fitted 276 fast road.
New timing chain fitted.
New cam followers fitted.
12G 940 cylinder head refurbished and fitted.
Carburettors stripped and refurbished.
3 branch manifold fitted.
New exhaust system fitted.
All new gaskets and seals fitted.
New clutch assembly fitted.
New clutch roller race fitted which updates the standard carbon bearing.
Gearbox professionally inspected and found to be in excellent condition.
Full repaint
This wee guy should be in retirement now that he’s a spritly 65 year old however its been restored to an as good as new condition & ready for another 65 ! No mot required however it will come fully motd, another advantage is its road tax & LEZ exempt.
Never intended to be a concours garage queen, the owner just wanted to save it for the next generation & keep his head busy after the depression of lock down. What he has produced is a beautiful car with a little more power than standard (1275 cc) making it so much more fun. It drives beautiful, looks fantastic & the wire wheels really add to its sporty appearance. We as a company we could not restore a car to this condition for less than £60k due to labour rates so this is indeed a bargain, unlikely to depreciate & just make you smile when you look at his wee face. It retains its original registration number.
