With a lot of 2. 0 190E being built, it can be difficult to find one that’s a little bit different to all the others. When we found this 190E, there was just something about it. We did our usual research and yes, it was a “full” Sportline spec, option code 950, and also included are the individual sports rear seats something rarely seen in the UK, especially on non-Cosworth engine cars. Ordered new by a London based Doctor (clearly a man of taste) the car appears to have spent some of its early life in Belgravia.

Several weeks (and lots of investment) since discovering the car, we’re now pleased to offer it for sale, having had it mechanically recommissioned. There’s a lot of satisfaction to be had in rescuing a car from an uncertain future and getting it back on the road.

Sure, there’s still some tidying and further improvement to be done, mostly cosmetically, but we’ll leave that to the next owner to do as and when they feel it’s required. The paint is mostly original, and has suffered some fading to the bonnet, roof and bootlid. The O/ S/ F wing has some corrosion, and there is also a small amount around the aerial base.
