Description
This 106 GTi presents itself beautifully having covered 109, 000 miles in its 26 year life. (Roughly 4000 miles a year).
It’s a desirable Non-Sunroof model, so no pesky water ingress!
The car has had just 2 Former Keepers, the first a mature gentleman that owned the car from new, up until the 105, 000 mile mark. We have an email from the original owner regaling his love for the car and confirming the uncompromised attention he gave it during his ownership.
The car was sold to its second owner (A Master Technician for Porsche and previously Peugeot in the late ‘90s) after having suffered a spectacular MOT failure in 2019 (we all get a bit tired as we get older!) S127FCT then went on a loving refresh, bringing this French icon back to its best. The car was completed in 2023 having had thousands of pounds spent overhauling both the mechanicals and cosmetics.
This sympathetic recommissioning included;
- [ ] All suspension components removed, shot blasted and repainted.
- [ ] Rebuilt with new suspension legs and rear shock absorbers. All bushes replaced.
- [ ] All new brake discs, calipers, pads, brake pipes and flexes.
- [ ] All 4 hub bearings replaced
- [ ] Underbody cleaned, repaired where necessary, sealed and Zinc coated.
- [ ] 4 new tyres in refurbished alloys.
- [ ] Full Engine Service, New Belts, New 4 branch exhaust manifold.
- [ ] Full non advisory MOT on completion.
Recently the car found its way into our hearts, and therefore into our stock. We’ve worked with the guys at Pug1off in Brackley, a renowned Peugeot specialist, to complete the finishing touches.
A Service and Health Check were carried out, minor niggles were found and taken care of, the end result being a Peugeot 106 GTi in rude health. The expert team at Pug1off were very complimentary about the car.
This car is a stunning example of a usable, enjoyable 106 GTi. It’s an appreciating classing, ready to be enjoyed by the next owner.
