Ford Cortina 2. 0 Ghia Auto. RHD Import from South Africa. All tax and import duty paid, NOVA done and UK reg received. ESG127W. We have the current V5 here. Solid Original old car but could do with a bit attention on the paintwork side.
Body - MK5 Cortina. Original inner wings, sills, floors, boot floor,. Good boot, bonnet, doors. Has rusty patch below fuel filler, top of o/ s wing has a very small hole and theres a diy repair on o/ s scuttle panel. Dent on bottom of nsf wing and one on nsf wing behind indicator. Paintwork is presentable on the bits that dont need looking at and looks original. Chrome trim missing from front edge of bonnet. Rera bumper has a bit of a twist. Someone has jacked it up on the os sill at the back and has made a mess of it. will need a sill or section replaced
Mechanics - Starts and runs. Starter motor is a bit a hit or miss but always work after a few goes. Engine sounds fine. Wee bit smoke on initial start up but soon clears. Might need valve stem oil seals. Slight blow from exhaust. Auto box works a sit should. Brakes are very good.
Interior - All original and in fairly good order. All perfectly useable but benefit from a deep clean.
Wheels - Refurbed ghia alloys . One centre cap is missing.
Original old car, which does need work but still on its first time round the block and not been welded to death. You are welcome to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote.
