The E39 BMW M5, introduced at the 1998 Geneva Motor Show, represents a significant evolution in the M5 lineage, being the first model to feature a V8 engine—the formidable 4. 9-liter S62. This power plant delivers 400 PS (294 kW) and 500 Nm of torque, enabling the sedan to achieve a 0-60 mph time of 4. 8 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. The E39 M5 also incorporates advanced features such as an aluminum-intensive suspension system and a six-speed manual transmission. Produced from 1999 to 2003, the E39 M5 is on its way to becoming a true collector’s car.
Exterior: This BMW E39 M5 is painted in the iconic Avus Blue Metallic, a color that was renamed Le Mans Blue in 2000. At some point in its life, the car underwent a full respray to maintain its appearance. Today, the paintwork is in a presentable condition, though not perfect. A notable flaw in the interior is a slight pixel fault in the display of the gauge cluster.
