We are very pleased to offer a wonderful 1962 Morris Minor Convertible. Finished in the fantastic colour combination of Forest green with contrasting Duo tone trim and a cream fabric roof. This is one of the sought after and very rare factory built Convertible Morris Minors. I have been using this car and with the roof down and I can confirm its a great experience. In the early sixties Morris decided to produce these in low volume and the results are excellent. Removing the roof has made these already easy to drive Cars even more fun and also very versatile. Morris Minors are an excellent Classic Car proposition, they have a global following, huge club support and parts availability. This example has been well cared for and is ready to use and enjoy. It has not been restored, instead, it has been well maintained and has the feel of a real sixties Car. It is accompanied with a large service folder.
On the road is where the fun starts. The roof is so simple to use and it can be put down by one person in a few seconds. Jump in, tur the key and pull the Start button and off you go. The 987cc engine is smooth with strong oil pressure and offers plenty of performance to cruise anywhere whilst also making you the centre of attention. It does have some useful modern day upgrades such as Servo assisted brakes, Alternator conversion, electronic ignition and inertia reel seat belts.
The interior is very well presented and really sets the car off. It has a well looked after and very original look. Cream and Green seats with matching Green carpets. The dash is unmarked and it has that lovely original steering wheel. The engine bay is also nicely detailed and the fabric roof is in good condition all round.
The Morris has a solid shell and has been maintained well. It has not been restored and wears its 62 year vintage very well. The paintwork is well presented with some areas that could be improved but these are minor and do not detract from this Morris Minors appearance. What it will do is make you smile the whole time you are driving it what more could you ask?
The Morris is fully serviced, checked, tuned and driven and is of course MOT and tax exempt.
