MGTC (1948): Meticulously Maintained/ Stunning Car
The MG TC was the first post war car produced by MG and was every inch the traditional British sports car. It was an immediate success with good performance courtesy of the XPAG engine, entertaining handling and lovely lines there was nothing not to like.
Nearly all of the production run (just over 10, 000 cars) were exported to the Empire or USA but over recent years many have returned to the UK. In today’s market well sorted examples are hard to find and are highly prized by their enthusiastic owners.
Milestone Classics are delighted to offer for sale one of the nicest and best driving TC’s you could wish to find finished in the stunning combination of Sequoia Cream with Apple Green interior. For Jamie the TC is the pick of the T-Types with 19” wire wheels, cutaway wings exposing front beam axle, more interior space than its predecessors and the willing XPAG engine make a properly sorted TC a joy to live with.
Our example was originally manufactured in 1948 and exported shortly afterwards to the USA. The current owner has invested a significant amount of time and effort tracing the history of the TC back to the early 1970’s and has been in contact with many of the previous owners both in America and Britain piecing together the cars “story” which is captured on the cars own personal website.
The TC returned to the UK in 2010 when purchased directly from the American owner by Terry Bone, the highly respected MG trader who knew his T-Types inside-out and was based, at that time, in Steyning, West Sussex.
