We are very pleased to offer this charming and very elegant Mercedes-Benz 420 SE that was supplied new by Malaya Garage in Crawley, Sussex, on 18/ 1/ 1990 to its first owner. It is finished in the very classy colour of Midnight Blue with matching Blue Velour Trim, which is in excellent condition as is the paintwork. The car would appear to have enjoyed a cherished life, as it still has its original service pack and is in the original factory specification, as it should be.
The service book contains 22 service stamps - a mixture of Mercedes main dealer and independent dealers - which is very impressive, as well as a collection of various invoices and receipts along the way. It has been in the hands of a private collector and had very little use in the last year or so, and has just enjoyed a fresh MOT before the Vendor drove it to us. As Mercedes-Benz cars go, this has to be the one that springs to mind when you mention top of the range classic Mercedes. It was always a favourite of many governments across the world as the go to car for their heads of state and royalty. It was, and still is, a status symbol and a classic that will always ooze class and sophistication, which is something that not many cars can boast.
