Description
A nice black Alvis, condition 2, in running order with a current MoT. Mileage is believed to be 40, 700 and the good solid chassis and engine support this. Brakes, gearbox and electrics all working well. The body is solid but the paint surface is largely original and poor. Chrome is acceptable. Some non-structural wood within the boot has rotted but the remainder is strong. Internally it is mature with neatly replaced seat material but needs plenty of minor TLC to door cards and fittings. Underneath it is surprisingly solid with a massive chassis and good strong springs, brakes and steering.
There is little history. The car’s record shows it was first registered in Barrow-in-Furness, reportedly sat for nearly 50 years in a dry garage and was rescued and MoT’d in 2019 at which time the original Reg of HRM284 was removed and it once again sat in a garage, this time in Huddersfield. We have replaced some of the wiring and serviced the car so that it could be used or taken to the next stage by repainting and further tidying. It comes with the V5, buff licence book, Alvis TA14 copied handbook and workshop literature and the large tools.
