Positioned at the top of Rootes Group of 'mid-range' cars it was, and remains, a quality motor car with a 1, 725cc twin-carb four-cylinder petrol engine at the front, driving the rear wheels via four-speed manual transmission with overdrive and front disc brakes. Inside, we find comfortable black vinyl seating , full array of instrumentation, manual windows and retro-fit modern radio/ cassette player. A note on file from the last owner suggests the car was used up to c. 1975 when it is believed to have been laid up until father and son semi-restored it in 1997 from when it was garaged and used very lightly, an online check of the MOT history showing that it covered only a handful of miles between its annual trips to the MOT station.
