Description

Ferrari 365 GTC4The 365 GTC4 is a 22 grand tourer that was produced by Ferrari from 1971 to 1972. It was based on the chassis of the Ferrari 365 GTB4 Daytona and in the very short production period of two years, 505 copies of the GTC4 were produced. This Ferrari was delivered to France, so according to European specifications. It is an older restoration but is certainly still in a very nice condition. BodyPaintwork: The paint has a nice shine and has minimal traces of use. The body is neat and tight with good fits. The chrome parts, bumpers and lighting are still in excellent condition. Technical: The car is in good technical condition. A real drivers car with a strong engine. The Ferrari drives, brakes and runs as it should. Videos of the driving car and the running engine are available on request. Interior: The interior with the Tartan upholstery is still original. This upholstery was standard for this model. Full leather upholstery was an option. The seats and backseat have no tears and still look neat. The dashboard and door panels are also in good condition. Of course, there may be slight traces of use. The roof lining is also in good condition. Transport is also possible, both open and closed in Europe. In addition, we can also organize the entire export process. Original green metallic delivered and door AUto Becker Design The coupe body of the GTC4 by Pininfarina included two front and two rear seats. The seats in the back were small and the sloping rear window limited the headroom in the back. It can therefore be seen as a replacement for the two-seater 365 GTC that was no longer available in 1970. With its wedge shape, fastback silhouette, sharp creases and hidden headlights, the styling of the GTC4 clearly reflects the 365 GTB4 Daytona on which it was based. Power steering, electric windows, and air conditioning were standard. The cabin was upholstered in a mixed leather and tartan cloth, unique to this model and unusual for a Ferrari, with full leather upholstery available as an option. Ferrari offered 48 different factory colors during the years the 365 GTC4 was produced. These colors were available on all Ferrari models at the time: the 365 GTC4, 365 GTB4, and Dino 246. It is unknown how many of these colors were actually used on 365 GTC4 models. In addition, Ferrari could order any special paint color that a wealthy buyer desired. Regardless of the exterior paint color, all 365 GTC4s received a matte black taillight panel treatment. The 365 GTC4 shared the chassis and engine of the 365 GTB4 Daytona, riding on the same wheelbase and suspension. Many changes were made to make it a more comfortable grand tourer than its two-seater predecessor and sibling. These included a softer spring rate and hydraulic power steering. The chassis was a tubular space frame, mated to a steel body with aluminium doors and bonnets as was usual for this period, the bodies were made and finished by Pininfarina in Turin, then sent to Ferrari in Modena for assembly. The suspension system used transverse A-arms, coil springs coaxial with the shock absorbers double at the rear and anti-roll bars at all four corners. Wheels were cast magnesium on Rudge knock-off hubs, while Borrani wire wheels were optional the braking system used ventilated discs front and rear. The engine was a Tipo F 101 AC 000 Colombo V12, with a displacement of 4, 390 cc 4. 4 L 267. 9 cu in. The engine block and cylinder heads were of aluminium alloy, with cast iron pressed sleeves chain-driven twin overhead camshafts per bank four in total, as indicated by the 4 in the model designation controlled two valves per cylinder. The V12 was derated to 340 PS 250 kW 335 hp from the Daytona, to provide a more tractable response suitable for a GT-oriented Ferrari. In place of the Daytonas downdraft arrangement, six twin-choke side-draft Weber carburetors were used, whose lower profile allowed for the cars lower and sloping bonnet line. 1 365 GTC4 engine compartmentThe 5-speed, fully synchronized transmission was bolted to the engine, another difference from the Daytona which used a transaxle. However, the setback placement of the engine and transmission still allowed the car to achieve a near-perfect 51:49 weight distribution. The transmission was rigidly connected to the aluminum housing of the rear differential via a torque tube. Models for export to the United States were equipped with three-point seat belts, side markers, and a number of engine modifications to meet federal emissions standards, including air injection, a carbon filter for evaporative emission control, and a different exhaust system. On the U. S. specification cars, power was reduced to 320 PS 235 kW 316 hp. Possible transport options within Europe, both open and closed transport.
