Finished in Pentland Green with Tan and dark green hides and built in Left Hand Drive. Equipped with all available Aston Martin factory V600 programme upgrades, fitted by Aston Martin in 1999. Supplied new to Germany in 1998 and re-imported to the UK in 2006, since when it has been much cherished by its two owners.
The full menu of V600 programme upgrades fitted in 1999, include the twin supercharged V8 engine uprated to V600 specifications, producing 599bhp and 812nm of torque. The transmission improved to 5 speed configurations with a rear axle ratio change to 3. 77:1 and electronic traction control fitted. Front and rear suspension upgrades, including re-engineered Anti-roll bars, working in tandem with re-rated Eibach springs and adjustable Koni dampers. AP Racing braking equipment, of 6 pot calliper 362mm front discs and 4 pot calliper 310mm rear discs. A stainless-steel sports exhaust completed the package along with the revised front grille and chrome plated V600 insignia applied.
The most powerful variant of the Aston Martin V8 ever developed and produced by the engineers Aston Martin’s works, offering performance remarkable even by today’s standards, the Vantage V600 being capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 4. 2 seconds and producing a top speed of over 200 mph, remarkable when considering the luxury equipment and Grand Touring comfort of the model.
Just 240 standard Vantage V550 examples were hand built between 1994 and 1999, costing in excess of £180, 000 when new, with less than 90 examples believed to have received the transformative benefits of the full V600 programme. Costing in excess of £40, 000 in period the V600 upgrade ceased to be available from Aston Martin shortly after production of the model ceased.
This particular example is one of just 97 LHD built, and one of only 5 LHD examples finished in this superb colour, so well suited to the model.
Routine servicing and maintenance on this exceptionally well preserved and presented example, has been carried out by Aston Martin Works and Aston Martin agents in Frankfurt, Germany. Maintenance from 2006 onward, has been entrusted to renowned Aston Martin Heritage specialists, R S Williams Ltd. A substantial leather-bound history file accompanying the car, attests to the care and attention expended on this attractively specified example and includes a copy invoice of the full V600 programme upgrades fitted, routine service and maintenance invoices and MoT certificates from 2009 onward. Notably a new balanced clutch unit was fitted in 2022, with less than 1, 000 mile been covered since.
Presenting in a condition the defies the age and mileage covered, this example, now at 26 years old, is eligible for import to the USA, a market denied the ‘supercharged’ Vantage when new.
