Ford Escort XR3 4 Speed carb model. RHD import from South Africa a couple of years ago. Fully UK registered and we have the V5 here. Very solid original old car which has had a small fortune spent on it since being imported. Really nice original example this one. We have the original South Arican handbook and service book with 9 stamps in it including 2 timing belts. Two sets of keys are with the car.
Body - Early MK3 Escort shell with two bolt strut tops and short rear roof gutters. Original inner wings, floors, cross member, boot floor and battery tray. Very very solid old car. Being an African built car it has the spats front and rear on the arch lips. Paintwork looks all original. Apart from a few age relate marks its lovely. Remember they are only original once!! Body has been sprayed with lanoguard underneath.
Interior - Red strobe style seats in very good condition. Good door cards with door speakers and door bins. Good carpet and headlining. Dashboard has no cracks which is rare in itself.
Mechanics - Good quiet 1600 cvh and 4 speed box. Starts runs and drives very well. Motd till March 2025 with no advisories. Recent parts replaced includes full service, plugs, oil, filters, all fluids and oils changed, 2 driveshaft seals, driveshaft boots, steering control arms, track rod ends, rack gators, all wheel bearings, rear drums, shoes, handbrake cable, complete ashley exhaust including 4 branch, heater matrix, door mirrors, offside stub axle, battery.
Wheels - Refurbished Cloverleafs with new 185 60 14 tyres. Spare is also a 5th Alloy
