Jaguar XJS 4. 0: Very Rare Manual/ FSH/ Stunning
The Jaguar XJS produced between 1975 and 1996 is the epitome of the luxury grand tourer. Jaguar introduced the 3. 6 XJS in 1984 and capacity of this unit was increased to 4. 0 litres with the introduction of the desirable AJ16 engine in 1994. The most desirable specification for more engaging when this is mated to the five speed manual gearbox
Milestone Classics are delighted to market our second XJS of the summer - this example is the later incarnation of the XJS featuring re-designed rear side windows/ trim/ bumpers/ dashboard, half leather (Oatmeal) seats and is finished in Oyster Metallic the car represents the pinnacle of XJS production.
The car was purchased in 2002 by the last owner who had spent many months searching the internet for a manual XJS in outstanding condition – he wanted an E-Type driving experience but with more space and comfort plus he really liked the contemporary styling of the XJS.
Over the last 22 years the XJS has been his pride & joy. Always garaged/ used as a second car and utterly cherished (there are 14 stamps in the service book + service invoices) the XJS is regretfully only being sold due to lack of use.

The history fold contains MOTs since 2001, lots of invoices and a full book pack that warrants the mileage @ 86k miles
On the road the car drives exactly as you would expect from an unrestored/ well maintained XJS. Silk smooth acceleration through the manual gearbox, on-point steering and brakes plus a level of comfort that many modern cars can only aspire to – sitting in this car is like stepping back to 1993.
The XJS is one of the most competent classic cars available today – finding a well-cared for, low mileage car that has been loved like this example is exceedingly difficult. Most have not been serviced regularly or properly and suffer from tired interiors/ bodywork.
Prices of XJS’s have risen sharply in recent years and we urge an early viewing and test drive to fully appreciate this highly desirable classic.
