The Classic Car Company is delighted to offer another of these cracking little Fiat 500s - this time a very smart RHD 500L.
This particular example was built in September 1972, and first delivered to UK. Very little is known about the car prior to 2022 when our client purchased it. As soon as it was in his possession he sent it to us for a full check over. We found a very solid and original vehicle, however mechanically it was in need of full recommissioning. We undertook the following work:
- Rebuilt original 649cc engine fitted
- Twin exhaust fitted
- Electronic ignition fitted
- Alternator fitted
- 126 synchromesh gearbox
- Upgraded drive shafts fitted
- Front brake disc conversion
- Duel brake fluid reservoir
- 4 new Pirelli tyres
- Rebuilt steering box
- New front leaf spring and fitting kit
- New front shock absorbers
- New rear coil springs
- New rear shock absorbers
- Misc new lights, badges and chrome work
- Total £9, 950
The car has covered less than 1, 000 miles since this work, and as such still presents in faultless working order.
The body work is bright and shiny and with many new trim parts. The front panel and bonnet and rear engine cover have also been resprayed in the last few years. However, the doors and roof display signs of age with minor tiny blisters.
The interior is tidy but has clearly been used in keeping with its age.
Overall, this little Fiat is no show pony, however mechanically it is spot on and with its 649cc engine is ready to zip around town with ease! Please contact us for more information.
