Description
History:
Convertible driving in style. Jaguar's X100 project was produced a total of 90, 000 times between 1995 and 2005, of which just under 14, 000 were the powerful supercharged V8. With an acceleration of 5. 4 seconds to 100 km/ h and a top speed of 260 km/ h, the XKR is still one of the fastest sports cars today. And as a 4-seater convertible, it is still one of the most powerful cars on the road. Only its elegance at the turn of the millennium is and remains unbeatable and timeless. This exceptionally well-maintained example has only covered 76, 000 kilometres from its two previous owners.
Bodywork and paintwork:
The flawless bodywork has been spared any damage to date and has never had to be repainted. There is a small dent on one door, the result of a carelessly opened door from another car. After paint sealing, the wonderful gloss paintwork with a soft metallic colour is close to new car condition.
Interior:
The interior was professionally treated in summer 2024 and freshly coloured in the area of the driver's seat. All add-on parts are in perfect condition, controls and displays are fully functional. The soft top is undamaged and the soft top hydraulics were overhauled in 2024.
Engine and mechanics:
The entire mechanics are flawless and extremely well maintained. The engine has very good performance and exhaust emission values. The automatic gearbox shifts perfectly and the brakes were also repaired for the recent MFK inspection.
Chassis:
The chassis has perfect test bench values, the power steering is noiseless and easy to control.
Driving experience:
A car for connoisseurs. If you find a Porsche too expensive, a Maserati too loud and a Mercedes not charming enough, you will enjoy the power of the supercharged engine, the gentle growl of the V8 engine and the unrivalled charm of a true British gentleman driver.
Recommendation:
With top equipment and every conceivable extra in elegant black, this XKR is a wonderful summer convertible, and it drives smoothly on all roads and in all weathers. The XK is not a collector's item, although the supercharged version and an example with so few kilometres definitely has the potential to become one.
