A true icon, that is without a doubt this beautiful and fully restored 1970 Dodge Challenger. During the restoration, this car was completely rebuilt in R/ T version. The completely new overhauled 440ci engine block was subsequently converted to 500ci. An impressive change for this very special Dodge Challenger in new condition.
This beautiful American classic 'muscle car' came to the Netherlands at the end of the 1990s and in 2010 the car was professionally and completely restored and brought into new condition. No expense has been spared in this regard. The High Performance 727 automatic gearbox is new and the entire drive (drive shafts, cardan shaft, differential, etc.) has also been completely renewed. The car has been completely repainted in this beautiful turquoise color. The completely new black leather interior is a perfect combination.
The paintwork and the various chrome and trim parts are still in very good condition. The various rubber parts are also in very good condition. It is clearly visible that this beautiful icon from car history has been cared for with a lot of love. The interior is also still in exceptional (almost new) condition. The dashboard is still in excellent condition and all instruments work properly. The car is not only equipped with new leather upholstery, but the carpet upholstery has also been renewed. The seats are very comfortable and good.
When we open the hood, everything shines brightly. It is as if the car came new from the factory, everything looks so beautiful, neat and tidy. The complete restoration and overhaul was expertly carried out by the well-known specialist Pedal to the Medal. This concerns an original SE version, which has been completely adapted to an R/ T version. This 1970 Dodge Challenger has been restored with a great sense of perfection. The exhaust system has been replaced by a specially handmade stainless steel exhaust. The existing sidepipes can also be mounted if necessary.
What else do we need to say about driving this wonderfully handling 'muscle car'? This car not only looks very pure, but it also drives like one. The wonderfully raw exhaust note and the smoothly running engine with lots of power are just a few of the ingredients for a wonderful experience. This is without a doubt real driving. The brakes feel solid, the car steers very smoothly and the accelerator pedal responds quickly to a light touch.
We are not exaggerating when we say that we are truly impressed by this amazing powerhouse. And we are also quite proud that we can offer this Dodge Challenger in our collection.
