Description
History:
The Fiat 500, born in the summer of 1957, was produced over 3. 7 million times in its career. The successful model, which followed the equally popular Topolino (built from 1936 to 1955), stopped production in five series (Nuova, D, F, L, R) in 1975. This beautifully restored Nuova D Fiat was restored in Italy and purchased by a Cinquecento enthusiast from Switzerland in 2019. The entire technology was extensively overhauled for the new veteran's inspection in spring 2024.
Bodywork and paintwork:
The flawless bodywork was completely repainted - inside and out - in the original colour "Rosso Medio 115". The soft top, including the linkage, was also renewed.
Interior:
The entire interior is new and has high-quality stitching in an absolutely fantastic choice of colours. The frames and fittings have also been restored and a completely new carpet landscape fitted.
Engine and mechanics:
The half-litre engine was overhauled in two stages in 2009 and 2014. The engine was sealed, wearing parts replaced, carburettor renewed, etc.
Chassis:
The entire chassis and brakes are part of the restoration and are in perfect and tested condition. The brake system was renewed in 2024.
Driving experience:
Every Cinquecento is an experience, whether with 14 or 20 hp. The Nuova models have the greater advantage of fresh air, especially for the rear passengers, as the roof can be rolled up to below the rear window. Space and nature to enjoy the countryside and wave back to the many waving road users and pedestrians. At Goodtimer, where you can often find high-calibre classics, this example is also one of the solidly and authentically restored Fiat 500s, and the vehicle documentation also contains two little surprises.
Recommendation:
Genuine Nuova with the so-called "suicide doors" are very rare and therefore sought after. Even at Goodtimer, where you can often find high-calibre classics, this example is one of the solidly and authentically restored Fiat 500s, and the vehicle documentation also contains two little surprises.
