Description
THIS CAR
Originally delivered new to America in 1967 in the same guise as it is today, L36/ 390bhp 427 big block upgraded to tri-power (427ci/ 400+bhp).
Presented as a "matching numbers" car.
Whist not much is known about the cars time in America, we do know about its time in England. It was imported here in 1989, where it stayed with its first owner until 1993. In 1993 the current keeper acquired the car.
As soon as the current owner took possession, he went about completing a body off restoration himself, which included:
New Clutch
Reconditioned Gearbox
Ignition Shield Kit
Spigot Bearing
New Yolk
New U. J's to Prop Shaft & Drive Shaft Fitted
Full Suspension Refresh
New Wheel Bearing Kit
Full Engine Service & Tune
Interior Refresh
Chassis Cleaned & Protected
Shortly after the restoration work, the car was shipped over to Spain and reportedly only used in dry conditions, which we can certainly believe from looking at the underside of the vehicle!
In 2005, while in Spain, a full engine build was commissioned on the vehicle and from what we can see has only covered circa 10k miles since this.
Multiple invoices are on file for it's time in Spain when the owner was maintaining the car.
Fast forward to 2023 and the car was brought back to the UK with the intention of being sold. Belcher engineering had been instructed to complete a full recommission to make sure that it was in the best mechanical shape to the prospective new owner. With this being completed, to the tune of £10, 000, here we are today with a wonderful and rare Corvette ready to be enjoyed once more!
All invoices for work are on file, and can be viewed within our digital history file section. Of course, if you prefer to flick through yourself and also view the car, please don't hesitate to get in touch and we would be more than happy to arrange this.
